EVERGREEN CEMETERY, CAMDEN, NJ
Garden State Ghost Investigations recently visited Evergreen Cemetery Located in Camden, NJ. GSGI CO-Directors Sheril Cunane and Karen Martinelli, along with GSGI Investigator Trish Gill were attempting to locate the grave of Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Richard Hamilton who is reportedly buried at this cemetery (We volunteered to research this for one of our clients.) We found that this cemetery is in very bad shape it is so overgrown with weeds and even though someone took the time to put flags on the veterans graves, you can hardly see some of the flags due to the heighth of these weeds. There are also alot of overturned
headstones in this cemetery, we feel that most of them were due to vandalism as some whole rows of headstones have been overturned. GSGI members were able to upright 3 of these headstones, all the others in the cemetery either were either too heavy or the headstones or the base were broken and they would not stand.
Below are some GSGI pictures from Evergreen Cemetery. (Pictures taken by Trish Gill)
Karen Martinelli uprights the first of 3 overturned headstones.
Sheril Cunane and Karen Martinelli upright the second of the 3 overturned headstones
And last but not least Sheri and Karen upright the 3rd headstone.
The headstones all uprighted.
Karen Martinelli points to one of the many overturned headstones that are too heavy for us to upright without heavy equipment.
